How to Generate an Idea from Text

Generating from Text

The most common way to use Ideasies is to describe a customer complaint or wish in plain text. The more specific you are, the better the generated idea will be.

Writing a Good Prompt

Think about a real frustration your customers experience. Here are some examples:

  • "Customers complain that our onboarding PDF is too long and they never finish it"
  • "My yoga clients always ask what class to take next but I don't have time to recommend individually"
  • "Freelancers struggle to quickly estimate project costs for potential clients"

Tone Selection

Before generating, choose a tone:

  • Fun — playful, energetic, colorful app concepts
  • Professional — clean, business-focused, trustworthy concepts

What Happens Next

Once you click generate, Ideasies deducts 3 credits and calls an AI model to create a structured idea brief. The brief includes all the fields you need to evaluate and build the concept — title, description, JTBD statement, workflow, target user, and more.

Enrichment

After the initial generation, Ideasies enriches the idea with additional data including market research and monetization strategy. These are generated on-demand when you open the idea detail modal.
